Bristol Forum: Whats a stag weekend like in Bristol

I've heard mixed things, but I think it's the same in every city really. Depends on the group, the type of bar, the level of drunkenness etc.

Personally, we had problems in Bristol in a few places and we were not on the 'raucaus' end of the stag scale.

Some pubs were very accomodating though, and if you do go to Bristol then I'd be happy to say which ones were.

did you book with a stag company or antyhing and would it be better to?

Well, the vast bulk of our group came from South Wales, so no, we just booked independently. I think it's just as easy to do it that way really.

Hi, We are think of booking the Travel Lodge Central, Would you Recomend for a Stag party? About 15 of us ranging for 32-60! Hope the Bars are going to be Stag friendly. Cheers.

Easy walking distance to everything

Bristol Bouncers are well organised and if one of you plays up...you could find all of you banned from everywhere before you have time to say sorry. One big firm tuns them all...and they network... if there is trouble they can come from everywhere... they even made a TV program following their mobile response crew.

The best advice is to play it down wherever you go, at least until you are settled in... We all love a good laugh but drunken idiots being rude is not funny to anyone else. I guess you are a more mature group so you should be fine.

There are some great places and it can be a fantastic place to be... don't forget to get out and about a bit in the daytime too... maybe a ferryboat trip round the floating harbour or a visit to the Free M Shed museum. We have a couple of comedy club venues and live acts all over the place and a couple of eat all you want restaurants too.

trying to organise bristol for my brother stag do, want to go somewhere we havent been to. Whats the main areas in Bristol for bar etc, want to organise a hotel somewhere close by.
