Can anyone recommend some cool wine bars/restaurants/clubs for my hen do in Brisol in July? There'll be 12 of us. We're all over 30 so preferably places suited to an older crowd. Thanks!

Cosmo's for an eat all you like dining experience up on the Triangle then down Park Street for some wine and cocktail places like Goldbrick House...sorry if I spell the names wrong...it has been a while since I was let out on a fun night.
Head to Corn St, packed with bars.
A very good starting point, get in contact with Vodka Revolution, they do sometimes ask for a min spend on reservations but if you ask nicely they might sort something for big groups.

On the dockside there are some chain bars, such as Pitcher & Piano (which has recently been refurbished) and The Living Room, which is a slightly pricey which keeps the riff raff away! www.thelivingroom.co.uk/venues/bristol/ - it also does food.
Goldbrick house on Park St is another good shout, bit more class about it and a few floors high!
As far as dancing the night away goes, depends what you're interested in. We have a Reflex 80's bar, which some people turn their nose up but I think if you're with a group it's what you make of it http://www.reflexbars.co.uk/reflexbristol/
Or another huge club with several theme rooms - http://www.oceanaclubs.com/bristol
Syndicate is another big club, but I'd say more popular with the younger residents of Bristol and slightly off the main route http://bristol.thesyndicate.com/
Hi Trixie1,
I'm a Bristol born and bred girl in my 30's, and recently had my hen night here in my home city.
I would definately start in Vodka Revolution, call them before hand and they may be able to reserve you the upstairs seating area which looks out over the ground floor and bar. They serve food and play good music but not really a 'dancy' place. Then you could head up (by taxi) to Whiteladies road, where you have 'The Ranch', 'Dragon Kiss' and few other good cocktail bars aimed for the more classier clientele of our age. After a few cocktails there you could head to Oceana on the Waterfront, a massive 7 room ( i think) club, again phone before hand and get your girls on the guest list, once inside be careful not to lose each other, head straight up to the top floor with it's 80's disco lit up floor and real cheesey 80's music. Real good laugh up there, usually with other hen/stag parties also present.
Have a wicked time.
Thank you so much - this is really helpful!
Regards x
I have been reading your post Lil_Pip and have found it very helpful. I am also having my hen in Bristol in Aug and my group are also all aged around 30yrs.
The plan is that my group are wanting a cheesy nite on the fri and a more classy nite on the sat. Unfortunately for me my friends are planning a theme for the fri nite!! What are the places like with hen parties that may be dressed up?
Hi adeley100,
For Friday 'cheese' head to Oceana the 'super club', try calling them and get on the guest list or turn up earlier to avoid the massive queues. Although before going in sample the waterfront bars first ..have a bit of a pub crawl on the way! Me and my friends dressed up as grannies and their pussycats on my hen night and oceana were ok, they have plenty of stag n hens dos there. Something classier for Saturday? head to Java at the bottom of park st. You will have to dress to impress to get in, the place can be quite pretentious, although that shouldn't matter if there are lots of you, the nights what you and your girls make it! Or head to Clifton triangle for some smaller boutique clubs like Po Na Na's or Joe Publics. Would defo recommend sticking with the waterfront area for the theme night, and head to park st or Clifton on Saturday in your frocks! Enjoy x
haha havent heard that theme before, im sure u all looked fab!! Thanks for your info will pass it on my bridesmaids it will def help them out with the planning of the weekend. x
