Also, skip up a couple of levels in the forums to the Canadian Rockies forum: tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g659487-i11598-Cana… ... and do the same there... the second in the list of Top Questions is a compilation of trip reports and reading some of those will probably give you a good feel for the area and what types of activities and itineraries people commonly do.

Then come back with your more specific questions and tell us a bit more about yourselves ... it's pretty hard to make recommendations without some information (no point in me writing several paragraphs about hiking trails only to find out you are seniors using walkers lol). It's also much easier to advise people if you draft an itinerary and post it, and then ask for feedback... it gives us a better idea of your timeline etc. Also, be sure to let us know which month you are coming.
