Sat. Jan. 21 Left San Jose @ 10:30pm for SFO for our 1:10 am flight to Mexico City never took a red eye before. It started to rain here after 2 months of no rain, dang we watered the plants before we left, the rain started to come down like crazy, three accidents getting to the airport but we get there on time. It’s pretty dead in the international part of the airport and we leave on time 1:10am, have a window seat but a little girl is in my seat so I had to have the father move her. You would think that there would not be much service on a flight at this hour but at 3:30 the lights come on and they serve us food, a sandwich with mystery meat and cheese, grapes and this bag of hard substance they call peanut crisp or something, hard as rocks. Flying over DF was interesting the sky is thick with smog, real thick. We reach Mexico City at 7:00am or about and debark, the air is gray all over, okay, it’s one of the biggest cities in the world. We land and disembark, what is that smell? First time to this airport and it’s a little confusing, okay a lot confusing with no airport map directions and no information about the next gate we are to go to but we have close over an hour to walk around and figure it out. We have to go through immigration and that darn green or red light like in ACA, Mr. Smuggler passes and I do too but then we have to put out bags on the x-ray scanner, I see Mr. Smuggler go to one side and I pass, turns out that he had an apple that the x-ray machine picked up, will he ever learn? Found a money transfer for 12.50 so we change some $$ and get to M terminal of T2 and find the gate to take us to the little plane. Takes only about 40 minutes and we are in ACA by 10am, we are the only flight in and the airport is dead. Grab our bag and off to Velero we go, there are women sweeping the highway around Las Brisas as cars are whizzing by. Not many cars out and we get there in 40 minutes and check in then off to check out the Grand and stopped by Carmen ere to make reservations for Thursday then WalMart for supplies, 80 pounds of booze is a little hard to carry let me tell you! Back to the condo and find out that the gas has not been turned on so we call the front desk and head out to Malibu for a drinks before dinner and the bartender Rocky remembers us from last year, gee we where only in there once. Head back to the condo to make Bloody Mary then out to La Mansion, had the cowboy steak and he had the porterhouse. there are only three other tables occupied tonight. It’s been a long day and have the waiter wrap up the leftovers, Costera is pretty dead.
Next day to Caleta
