“ Do I need a golfcart and where can I go in it ”

We are thinking of going to Bimini in November staying at the Big Game Club and trying to decide whether we need a golf cart or not. If we rent one, how far can we go in it? Since it seems there are just water taxis between the two islands, we couldn't use it on the south island and looking at a map it looks like the roads only run for a small portion of the North Island up to Bailey Town. Is it possible to use the golf cart beyond that point?

We are in Bimini now (our first time here). Yesterday we rented a golf cart ($25 for the first hour, $10/hr thereafter) and drove it North on Queen's Highway (a misnomer since this is a narrow,not quite 2-lane street with many potholes) all the way to Bimini Bay Resort & Marina (which is a mile or more past Bailytown). The road becomes the main boulevard of this resort. I don't know if you can drive through the resort and exit to the North side of it to proceed to East Bimini (maps show that you can). There are many golf cart rental places here. Our hotel called one for us and they delivered the cart to the hotel.
