 Martha Brae rier excursion

This looks nice - has anyone been? We are staying at GBP - and I think this is closer than Black River?

We have never been, but our friends went and LOVED IT. I hope we can do it on our next visit. If you choose to do it, but sure to post a review!! Our friends said it's very romantic.

We did this trip in December, it was a lovely relaxing afternoon, would really recommend it. Was about half an hour from Runaway Bay.

We love going to the Martha Brae and will do it again. Here is a little piece I wrote last time.

We did this about 2 years ago. It was a beautiful experience. The entire trip lasted about an hour.

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Myrtle Beach

We did this from the Ocho Rios end....

they pole you up the river a ways and then bring you back down...at one point the "pilot" turns the craft over to the male to propel (since there is not much current you still need to paddle and steer). If you don't have a good sense of balance you might be swimming during this segment.

The only thing that made this unpleasant was that we were on a paid tour with Dutch Arian Adonnesses that were blowing past me saying "eat my wake, you American flabbo.....well, wait, that wasn't the only thing....at the end, my "pilot" was VERY, VERY disappointed that I didn't have money to tip him. I had been told this was included in the cost of our trip, but evidently it wasn't. All newbie visitors to Jamaica need to be aware that you're expected to tip for EVERYTHING...even for directions to a place that's across the street or right next door.
