Runaway Bay Forum: Day Trips

We would like to stay within an hour of the resort. We have 2 kids, 1 and 3, but I do not think we would take them on the day trips. We like laid back and energetic. We are not big tourist, we do not like to be driven around to see the scenery.

We love Dunn's River Falls!! It's not geared for children as young as 1 & 3, but if you're comfortable leaving the children with your nanny at FDR, it's a great day trip. It's not very far from your hotel so you won't be gone all day. Enjoy your trip!

I would agree with jamaicagal - Dunns is about a 20 - 25 minute drive from your resort and good fun. I wouldnt really call it a daytrip as such more like just a couple of hours.

Other than that there is Green Grotto Caves, whic is about 15 mins away, i cant tell you much about that as i have never been due to the fact its a cave! Although i have been told its good.

Also close is Dolphin Cove if you have a liking for dolphins, you can touch them, swim with them etc.
