We are contemplating a trip from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo. It looks like a good way to get there is the express bus from Bavaro. The question is what is the best way to get from the Santo Domingo bus depot to the Nicolas de Ovando hotel?

The expreso from Bavaro stops at the bus station at Parque Enriquillo before going to its final stop at the bus station on Maximo Gomez.. From Parque Enriquillo, you simply walk downhill along Avenida Duarte (through the Santo Domingo chinatown) and after that you are right in the zona colonial. It's about a half mile walk.
