It is early, but people should be able to reserve their seats now. On the website that gatit0 has posted, it reads:

“Transat Holidays and Nolitours' customers, seat selection is available 220 days prior your departure and or 24 hours after your booking date. TMR, Hola Sun and Club Med customers, seat selection is available 180 days prior to your departure and or 24 hours after your booking date.”

And on the CanJet site it states:

“The fee for seat selection is as follows:

1. $35.00 CAD for seats in the emergency exit row (Please be advised that you must be 16 years or older, able to lift 70 lbs, and willing and able to help in case of an emergency).

2. $35.00 CAD for seats with extra leg room.

3. $15.00 CAD for seats ahead of the emergency exit row.

4. $15.00 CAD for seats behind the emergency exit row. “

So with a confirmation number and a credit card, the OP should be able to reserve seats now as Feb is within the 180 or 220 day limit.

Or am I reading something wrong (it IS Friday after all.)

Thanks for your replies even though it is still four months I am sure there are a lot of people booking, as for most people not booking seats with canjet a lot of seats were already booked when I reseved last year.I will keep trying.

We are booked with Nolitours flying with CanJet in April/12. I too, tried to book our seats as soon as the reservation was completed and wasn't able to do so. A couple of days later the outbound flight was listed in the computer, so I did that portion. I called CanJet about the return and got the same answer as you. Then I called Nolitours and they said they didn't know why it wasn't in CanJet's computers. So then I called CanJet back again, and spoke to a supervisor who explained that it sometimes takes a little while to get all their flights set up for seat assignment, but not too worry, it would show up soon. A week later it did, and we now have both portions booked. (We really like the exit row, so I like to book them as soon as possible). :)

Was finally able to book seats today (CanJet 702 to SCU) been trying every day even earlier today I was not able but was successful this afternoon only 89 days to go.
