 Ios for the

I am starting to plan for next September (I know it's only October but we got back from Milos and Sifnos last week and I am feeling the cold!)

Is Ios still a party island in late September and would there be enough to satisfy an "older" traveller - big 50 next year.

I like good food and a realxed atmosphere but am not a clubbing type of person although not averse to a late night drink or two.

Would I be able to find this on Ios?

Many thanks

Gary

Hello Gary,

Ios is still a party island but late September is not crazy like July and august i think this is the right time for you to come.

See you in Ios

We just returned from Ios. We were there for three weeks in September. I'm 53, my husband 62, and my daughter is 15. We love this island and go there almost every year in September. The weather is still hot in September although this year was also very windy. We like to stay at Mylopotus beach because we want a beach holiday. Why go to Greece and then just swim in the hotel pool. The bus goes from the port to the town to the beach, then back, every 15 minutes, and costs 1.40 euros. There's lots of restaurants and a couple of mini markets on the beach. The bakery on the beach wasn't that great this September as someone else was running it this year. We had been to Greece several times before we decided to make a stop in Ios, because all the guide books talked about it being such a wild island. But it was really quiet in September. I would definately suggest Ios in September to you.
