 Loro Park or Siam Park?

HI

Travelling to Tenerife on Friday with 8 year old son for 1 week and wonder which park would be best suited for an active 8 year old. Am worried that slides in Siam Park have height restrictions which means he may not get onto any of the good slides so this could be disappointing for him. Also, heard the queues are terrible. Can anyone advise me?

Many thanks.

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Playa de las Americas, Cockermouth

both are great, and it would be hard to decide on which one... you can actually get a twin ticket to see both if you can't make your mind up.

The height restrictions are imo not just the good rides but the more dangerous ones which would be more of a concern for you ,that said there are lots of things for him to do in siam that will suit his active nature .Yes this time of year ,the height of the UK summer holidays it will be busy so i would opt to go on a change over day when it should be a little quieter ,get there early ,leave late that way you stand an even better chance ,a lot of people seem to get up late ,arrive later and then complain its busy ,I think an early night before you go is beneficial to get the most out of the Fantastic Siam Park .As Markwcel says you can purchase twin tickets which allow you to go to both venues when it suits you .

hope you have a fantastic time .

If, as you have posted in the Fañabe forum, you are staying in this area, don´t forget should you go to Loro Parque you will have the journey, around 90 mins each way plus however many stops to pick up at hotels en route. And of course there are also very long queues there to see the sealions, whales, dolphin shows etc.

If your child particularly likes zoos you could visit both the Monkey Park Zoo just outside of Los Cristianos and also the Jungle Park both just 10 minutes from Las Americas. There are free shuttle buses to the Jungle Park that run round the resorts all day.

Thanks for your advice folks. As I will be in the Fanabe area, think I should opt for Siam Park with an early start - don't fancy travelling too far by bus in the heat! Will also consider visiting Jungle Park or the Monkey Park as they're not far away. Again many thanks.
