“ Abandoned brick buildings and rectangular ponds outside Imon ”

There is a collection of rectangular shallow ponds and several abandoned adjacent buildings in the countryside near Imon, Spain . They are marked with "No Trespassing" signs.

What purpose did this complex serve in the past?
