“ 2 nights in Tagbilaran ”

My partner and I arrive in Bohol and have 2 nights to kill before heading with a friend down to Alona Beach. I was hoping for recommendations on places to stay - somewhere with cheap single rooms would be best and somewhere close to the ferry port.

The reviews for El Portal Inn look good and it appears to be close to the sea port. I saw a recent post about Mellow Apartelle which is cheaper but looks further away from ferry port. Has anyone any reviews on this place?

The alternative is to stay on a beach somewhere close by - any recommendations?

I don't know those places so don't know how low the prices are.

Here is a place I have stayed previously.

Last year, a standard room was P850.

I have walked to the pier. It is 15 minutes walk. Otherwise, it is P20 in a tricycle. It is also very close to the large BQ Mall. They have a very cheap food court on the top level next to the cinemas.

Back in February we stayed at Vest Pension House

Budget price, they will provide transportation to and from Airport and Ferry building. No pool, small cafe,

The place is somewhat out of the way, in a residential area but quite. You need to have transportation so we rented a motorcycle from Mikes bike and had a blast . We spent two nights there before going to Calape.
