"Yes, the food was delicious . . . but I don't know if it's because I waited in line for 2 hours! ! ! Big beefy ribs is what they are known for. I ordered the 5 bones full dinner. I figured the bones would be small because it was under $20.00. 3 bones cost $13.00 and the tickler 1 bone was around..." $6. When I first got in line I thought about ordered the tickler . . . after about an hour of waiting, I upped the anti and decided on the 3 bone dinner . . . but after waiting over 2 hours . . . I was super hungry and ordered the 5 bone dinner. I ate 2 ribs and the corn on the cob and I was done! Hated to see so much food go to waste but we were staying at a hotel and had no place to store my left overs.
We got in line at 7pm and were seated at 9pm. The line was still wrapped around the building even at 10pm.
I can now say I had the famous Phil's BBQ. I would love to have it again, but don't know if it is worth the wait.

"Our friends invited us for a quick bite to eat. It's a seafood counter where you order and wait for your number to be called. We sat upstairs overlooking the harbor. It was a beautiful sunny day so it was perfect to sit out there. I enjoyed a cold shrimp sandwich with their secret dressing. Very g..."ood food . . . nice to enjoy quality seafood in a casual atmosphere.
I will definitely go back the next time I am in San Diego

"Recommended by the Grand Hyatt concierge as the best seafood at the best prices in town. Had the grilled shrimp and agree completely. Lower level where we ate doesn't take reservations, but upper level does. Sat outside on the water. Good service. Right next to Midway Museum. Good find!"
