"This was our second time dining here. Both times we had spot on service and wonderful food. My only dislike was the berry cobbler.... too much cobbler and not enough berries! The remodel is beAutiful with dark wood accents that highlight the magnificent view of Puget Sound. It's a bit of a drive ..."out of downtown Tacoma (maybe 15 minutes) But in a city with few special occasion dining destinations, it's worth the drive.

"We were staying at the Silver Cloud down the street and starting walking towards the Park and decided to check each of the 5 restaurants along the "strip". It was a balmy Thursday evening and everything was hopping - folks out celebrating the unseasonably warm weather - lines out the door of some e..."stablishments. The first 4 were fine, but didn't quite click. Dukes hit me because I was getting tired and the hostess was very funny and told me I had made the right decision by waiting for the best. We sat inside because it was a bit of a cool breeze. I had pan seared salmon which was not great - too much sauce, almost tasted like teriyaki. My husband had a salmon sandwich and a large spinach salad - he was happy with both. We had local beer and our waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. Not the best meal I had in WA, but overall pleasant experience.

"After a long day visting Mt. Rainier we were ready for a beer and a snack. We walked down the street to the Ram (staying at the Silver Cloud) and found the bar & restaurant almost full at only 5 pm. We sat in the bar area & started with happy hour priced beers and healthy snacks (hummus, veggies) ..."and then ordered a spinach salad with salmon and decided this was dinner. Great people watching place - lots of TVs to watch sports. Attracts all ages and types - lots of options for eating & drinking. Our waitress, Britt, was laid back and very pleasant and helpful. Fun way to wrap up an "outdoorsy" day. You do need to be ok with noise.
