  "The hotel and dining room have been refurbished in grand style. Our server, Debbie was very pleasant and efficient. We both had a very good Greek salad. One entree was the Monday night special, crusted halibut with mint, mashed potatoes and green beans. I really like halibut and this tasted good but..." it was cooked way too long and was dry. Monday can be a risky night to order fish (or perhaps it may be the desert location). The second order was a Calabrese style ragu, a spicy hot pasta dish. After a few bites it was no longer spicy flavorful it was just one note.......hot. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with our meal. Perhaps the chef was having an off night but based on other reviews, the meals did not meet our expectations. Overall the atmosphere was good, the food alright, the price fair and we would not hesitate to give the restaurant a second try. " More >

We both ordered the St. Louis ribs with beans and pasta salad as side dishes. We had wanted to substitute a dinner salad for the pasta salad but were told the substitution would m..."ean both the beans and pasta salad would be replaced because the side salad cost more to make than both sides. We ordered the side salad ($2.55) in addition to the regular entree. The salad was excellent, the beans were very sweet and not a taste I like. The pasta salad was uninspired. With the benefit of 20/20 hind sight we would have been ahead by substituting the side salads and ordering one side of beans. The ribs were heavily sauced but very good. They were meaty and fall off the bone delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, the waiters friendly and efficient, and the price about right. I would eat here again. " More >
