"The food is excellent. However the noise level is still too high. Hard walls and low ceilings cause the noise from other tables to carry all over the small rooms. Need to put some tapestries or sound absorbing materials on the walls.
Our waitress was very professional and worked very hard without a..."ny help from support staff. She had to bring water, bread, clear table, and do everything. For a restaurant of this level there should be a food runner, bus staff. For wait staff to have 5 tables to manage without help is too many. We waited 15 minutes for bread to be served. Starter arrived before the wine. This is not acceptable for a top of the line. I agree the main attention to food is the most important but service is way up there as well. This is not the fault of the waitstaff here. She was excellent.
This is a copy of review I put on Open Table.

"Just loved everything about this small unpretentious place from the barman Rick, to the friendly customers to the good food. Hubbie had the crab and sausage gumbo made by Rose, fabulous, I had the clam chowder - one of the best in boston area during our trip. Thoroughly recommend it!!!"
"This is real New England. I ordered the clambake, and I received the largest meatiest clams you can imagine, along with an extremely tasty boiled lobster, homemade clam chowder, and french fries. We sat at the picnic tables, outback on the pier with the accompanying seagulls and seafaring birds. O..."ur other meal was a fisherman’s platter which was done to perfection with a very lightly battered crust. This is a recommendation that I feel very confident in when you want real New England seafood taste. The only issue I have is that the town of Plymouth has become extremely greedy and there is no free parking, as it had been since the days when the Pilgrims landed. The fee was a dollar per hour, and if you are a tourist then I expect, you won't mind. But when you've lived here, all of your life and you are a New Englander you take exception to the greed of the government. But adding this fee still makes this restaurant, a worthwhile and reasonable cost.
