  "The only problem with restaurants in Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere is that the menu options are very similar... it makes any meal a little unmemorable, which is a shame because Beresford's was surprisingly good! I'd agree with a previous review of Beresford's... it probably is a bit overpriced but using my discount or taking advantage of one of their other special offers represents very good value for money! Beresford's has Peroni on draft! The food was good - the menu is quite varied but not overly adventurous... we went with goats cheese, prawn cocktail, venison, seafood tagliatelle... and then came the dessert... the waitress told us the options and as soon as she mentioned white Toblerone cheesecake I knew I had to have it... the best cheesecake I have ever had! It is a shame Beresford's isn't busier - it is a really nice restaurant in a great location just outside the village of Bown... " More >
