  "We have been to the Loft twice before but it's a couple of years ago - and to be honest - we were a bit disappointed back then so haven't been keen to come back - even though we come down to St Ives 2-3 times a year. However, after reading a fair number of good reviews on Trip Advisor - we decide..."d to give it another try. We were not disappointed! We had the crab tart and fish cakes for starters. The crab tart was full of flavour and came with a small side salad full of fresh crab meat = delicious! The fish cakes were great too. For mains we had the lemon sole fillets and the monk fish. Both dishes were delicate, tasty and well prepared. We also enjoyed a couple of puddings: the chocolate marquise with raspberry sorbet and clotted cream (lovely and sweet but could have done with another texture - something crunchy perhaps?). We also shared the blueberry and fig tart with mascarpone ice team - very very good! All in all a great meal - slight criticism on the white wine ... " More >

  "The Hub has recently been refurbished, which I'm not sure if it is an enhancement on the old decor not. All that aside we picked the famous "Hub Burger " off the menu and weren't disappointed . A mammoth burger with bacon,cheese and all the trimmings. The chips were really tasty and all this for les..."s than a tenner !, For those that don't know the view from the hub is exceptional, and if you venture upstairs there are some balcony tables which have possibly the best view in St Ives.
