"Located around Asakusa area, this restaurant has been here for more than 200 years. It is known for selling Dojo fish (small freshwater fish in the loach family). English menu is available. We ordered their speciality dish which is Dojo fishes cooked in a hot stone with soya sauce, grace with a lot..." of spring onion on top. It has been marinated in Sake (Japanese liquor) until the bones softened, and they will cook it one more time in Sake afterwards. It might look like a horror movie, but it tastes good. The grilled version also such a delight. Perfectly seasoned and goes very well with a bowl of rice. One minus point is that the portions are a tad small. So don't come here with very empty stomach. But nevertheless, Komagata is quite an experience.

"We ordered the tofu special and it was sensationally tasteful. In total I got to try 9 types of tofu and they ranged from good to finger licking delicious.
The service is 100% Japanese, so learn the language or just nod and eat everything.
Like many places in Tokyo this restaurant is at a higher f..."loor (above a kimono shop), so you won't see it from the street.

"I've been here with my friends after got idling in Ueno park. Just pass through the streets with game station and market then you will find your self there. I really recommend this restaurant for those who loves spicy ramen. The spice level is started from 1-10 and the famous one starts from 4. You ..."must buy the ticket before order. People always line up in queue to get the seat. Be careful not to get tricked like me for too much spice! But don't worry they have plenty of ice water on the table. It's spicy delicious!!
