We loved the atmosphere and the food here. The service was very good. Much less expensive than Marismo, and just as enjoyable!

We walked into this place based on the reviews and almost left before ordering. There were flies everywhere, my menu was dirty and the menu selection was very small. Glad we stayed though-- the mussels were really, really good, as was the pumpkin salad. Clearly committed to fresh ingredients here. Not the best ambiance in Jose Ignacio, but solid food...

Limited selection but several meals were enjoyed at La Olada. Service is good except later in evening when staffing is not adequate for volume of business. Have good directions if wish to seek out after dark - not where one might expect to find such a good establishment.
We are so happy we came to check out this restaurant! We enjoyed the intimate, warm atmosphere inside with the chefs in the kitchen nearby. Great looking cozy patio outside and a cute, funky little bathroom worth mentioning. Service was good, friendly, unobtrusive. Noticed lots of JI restaurant owners also in for dinner so knew this was the ticket.

This place is pretty difficult to find, but worth it. In a funny neighborhood about a 10 minute walk from jose ignacio. Delish pizza, amazing pumpkin with goat cheese and arugula. We didn't sit on the patio, but I imagine it is pretty incredible in the summer months.
Like many of the restaurants in JI, this place has good food and ambiance. Unlike many restaurants in the area, it also boasts great service and somewhat reasonable prices. The meal an cozy atmosphere made for a great night that was topped off by a a glass of wine near the firepit.
We really enjoyed this restaurant - one we went to because during low season (early Dec) everything else was closed, but one we would have gone to anyway. We went twice, it was so good! They have ample outdoor seating (with two fires) and 5-6 tables inside. It is very rustic and cozy, and the resident cat, Lucy, will come...

Lunchtime visit and what a lunch it was! Great outdoor location (indoor seating available) with house garden with herbs and salad that go straight into the cooking / I've heard the mojitos are good, will try next time!
La Olada is one of the most charming restaurants I’ve experienced. I believe it’s only open for dinner and only in the high season (summer in Uruguay). We visited on Thanksgiving and it was one of few restaurants in the Jose Ignacio area that was open for dinner. Best to call first. There is a front garden, lit by lanterns,...

It's been about 2 years since we've been there, but a friend was looking for recommendations... so I figured I'd write a review of this place as well since it brought back such good memories. There aren't that many places to eat in Jose Ignacio, but this place doesn't just rely on that. They put out great food. I love...
