Went to this place with an open mind but was severely disappointed. Service was rubbish with the waiter forgetting our drinks order on several occasions.... Food was poor - the crackle tasted like plastic and the ribs were the worst i have ever had..... Definitley think there has to be better places than this... would never recommend... More

If you like beer, make a trip to Josie Bones. They have an amazing selection of beers from around the world and if you can’t decide what to get just ask your waiter and they will make a suggestion based on what you normally drink. Food is very different and absolutely delicious! My sister had her engagement party here and... More

Great vibe, hip and trendy gastro pub in a super hip part of Melbourne. Loved the food, had the ribs and pork belly with some sides. Beer menu goes on and on (over 20 pages!) with a fantastic selection of beer from around the world. Prices can make your eyes water but go for quality and uniqueness not quantity. Markup... More

This lace really rewards the adventurous. I love to take clients there - especially the guys - due to the meat and beer. It really is some type of bloke heaven. I would recommend sitting at the bar and letting the staff there order for you - everything. I would never order lambs tongues and match them with a beer,... More

Don't go to this restaurant/bar unless you're prepared to wade through pages and pages of boutique beers (you've never heard of) and the most riduclous unappetizing selection of food you could possibly imagine. Drop in for one beer and a scotch egg if you must have the experience, but only while on your way to a regular restaurant in Smith... More

Wow, Josie Bones is awesome, very good food and huge beer selection (quite expensive though). I have never thought you could cook flavoursome foods with such simple ingredients, no need to use foie gras or white truffle. I easily recommend it to any food lovers and triers. If your approach is more traditional I don't think you would like. More

Josie Bones has a huge beer menu with great food to match. My wife drinks wine and found the wine list equal to most restaurants. The staff are very friendly and willing to help if asked. The nice thing is they don't force their knowledge on you but give really helpful suggestions. They are also good at explaining the food... More

This place is NOT a place to take your vegetarian friends: the semi-pornographic depiction of a skinned rabbit on the main wall says is all! Food here is tasty, affordable and well presented. But the real reason you com here is for the way they match BEER with the food. The staff are really knowledgable, and friendly too. So many... More

We grabbed the pig's trotter handels and opened the doors to a rustic but modern looking bistro with a focus on beer and head to tail sharing plates. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and we were seated at a lovely table. It didn't take long for me to notice Chris badenoch's cookbook and suddenly we realised that it... More
