Good food, but the servers need better training. Appetizers should NEVER be serviced at the SAME TIME as the main course. Need to have pizza racks, so there is still room on the table for dinnerware.

Quaint, delicious, elegant. These are the three words that best describe Giuseppe's, that famous Italian Restaurant in Tacloban! It was quite a boring day but when after we had our lunch here, the day became a blast!
The place is small and can probably sit around 50 people at a time. Menu is Italian since the owner is an Italian...

Visitied with partner. Pros - Good pizza with thin crust and generous toppings, clean, good service, price OK Cons - Sage ravioli tasteless, weird set-up with people wandering from butcher shop next door. I would recommend the pizza.
Pizzas, cold cut platter and steaks were very good. The house wine was corked, not good. Getting the attention of the waiters meant waving arms around which gets frustrating, especially when the owner is sitting at the table next to you watching what's going on. Having said all that, it's good that a place like Tacloban has a restaurant like...

One of the best dining places we enjoyed when we visited Tacloban.

The personnel were attentive to our requests and were very pleasant explaining their menu. We loved all our orders. The baked scallops were...

It was my girls' first visit to Tacloban and to make the most of it, we agreed beforehand to try only locals- we will not eat in any of the franchised eating joints found in Metro Manila.
As i have not been in Tacloban for over 20 years, the search for a suitable eating place became an adventure of sorts...

Wonderful to find a place in Leyte that has capers! (on the lapu lapu)
The pork chop was delicious and seemed tobe encrusted with something sugary.
House wine was fine.
Went for a walk and it wqas the only place we found open...

We asked around for the history of this place, and we found out that there was an italian who married someone from Tacloban and brought all the trade secrets of Italy here. We ordered ravioli and a pizza just to taste just how great Guiseppe's is, and we were torn by the orders that we got. The ravioli was too...

good portioning, truly authentic italian, great wine... the osso bucco and steaks we ordered were all tender and with great flavor. Pizza was big and simply satisfying. Pastas were al dente... Dessert was awesome! Thanks for the complimentary amaretto in the end. Trip to Tacloban will not be complete without visiting Giuseppe's!
