High Tea here is very average,think it must be made up and set out too soon before serving thus bread is dry and toppings were room temperature and should have been cold. Cakes were also dry.Did have a good selection of teas but they serve a very small amount of milk to use with two big teapots of tea? Needed...

After 4 visits to this place , I figure I have given it plenty of chances.
Tonight was dreadful, other nights have been either poor or bad.
I ordered the whiting with chips and salad. It was inedible. The fish was chewy and over fried, the chips and salad were vastly over salted.

The Byrneleigh is a pub that in contemporary style dresses up as a variety of places - in this case a restaurant, cafe and student bar. We had a coupon for this restaurant which we'd never heard of! We were pleasantly surprised with how tasty the tasting plate actually was! The meat was cooked perfect and chicken was tops! All in all, a great restaurant and value for money.
