The original Teppanyaki Takao restaurant was demolished by the 4th September 2010 earthquake. It has now been re-opened in a first floor overlooking the large car park in the town centre. No problems with access and parking.

friendly, not over the top, yet well done - booking could be critical especially on the more busy days - they have re-invented themselves brilliantly after the Sept 2010 earthquake which destroyed their previous location in Kaiapoi

The only authentic Japaese Teppanyaki restaurant in North Canterbury owned and operated by Japanese chefs.
Comprehensive menu with many choices and a good selection of seafood and other meats cooked to your satisfaction, right in front of you.
