Food and beers good, be prepared for a large meal. Menu is typical of "pub grub", but is well prepared and presented. Restaurant opening times must be checked prior to visit, kitchen closes 8.30 pm.

this is a beautiful restaurant in the middle of nowhere so unfortunately not a lot of custom this time of year but the food is excellent as is the service. the proprietor rob talbot has also a smokehouse where you can purchase gorgeous sausages, smoked salmon,smoked haddock etc.

The food was superb - quite the best we have had in a pub for a long while. The hosts were lovely and we came away with more than expected with a bag full of delicious smoked products.

Looks good, nicely designed, but lacks atmosphere, slow service and not good value, but food was ok.
