Description: During our recent stay in Old Town Rhodes, we discovered Rustico Taverna, a wonderful, warm and outstanding restaurant at the end of Ippodamou Street and the top of Socrates Street. Rustico is tucked away in a foliage covered corner near Suleimon Mosque in one of Old Town Rhodes’ many serpentine alleys and therefore affords more quite enjoyment of the extensive and superior Greek cuisine that it offers.
We chose to have a lunch at Rustico (at the invitation of Thomas, the friendly and informative maitre d’) as well as four of our evening meals because we so very much enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the outstanding assortment of traditional Greek clay pot dishes and other specialty dishes unique to Rustico.
We were delighted at how enamored our teenager children were with Greek cuisine and attribute much of their enthusiasm to the quality of the dishes they enjoyed at Rustico. My husband and I were also smitten with the ambiance, service and interaction with the owner and the staff at Rustico.
On numerous nights, we observed that other tourists were repeat patrons of this restaurant also and encourage fellow visitors to Old Town Rhodes to give Rustico the opportunity to enchant you as well. Good eating. The Jolly Family from Jacksonville, Florida
