This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is stunning, with lovely fresh seafood and fish - the grilled prawns were especially good. The setting is really good in a quiet square off the beaten track in the old town, with lights and shady vines to add to the atmosphere. We ate there twice during our stay, enjoying the warm welcome... More

On our daytrip to Rhodes we wanted to have a nice seafood lunch. After seeing too many tourist place (you know where they put pictures of food out and someone in the street tries to talk you in), we stumbled on Nireas restaurant on a small square. After talking a bit to the owner and sensing his absolute love for... More

Unbeatable atmosphere in the Old Town of Rhodes. Sea food at very affordable prices and friendly English speaking staff. Sit under the stars and enjoy the finest cuisine Rhodes has to offer. My favourite place by far. More

Rhodes is blessed (or cursed) with masses of tourist restaurants all serving more or less the same sort of food - souvlaki, moussake, pizza ... etc. Nireas is different, and in our experience, probably the best choice in the old town (maybe the ONLY good choice in the old town). It's a family restaurant, serving no-nonsense Greek food. The menu... More

We greatly enjoyed the dinner at Nireas where we were served fantastic fish dishes. But even more pleasant was the customer orientation of the owners; as we were there off-season the owner took some time to chat with us which we appreciated a lot. We were actually looking for another restaurant that evening, but the Nireas owner came to show... More

a fine place: great fish. A warm host, especially in off-season when tourists are rare -- and able to accomodate very early diners (our young grand-children cannot eat after 8:00PM w/out falling asleep at table) More

We visited Rhodes in September 2011. We loved Nirea's Fish Restaurant. The food was excellent! but what really made this a great experience for us was the owner. He was so friendly and we loved his stories about himself and his family. It was like having dinner with a friend. Highly recommend this restaurant. In fact we visited Athens, Rhodes... More

How good? The local street cats knew where to hang out. Fresh, lightly cooked, delicious – no other adjectives needed. Popular with both locals and tourists, on the day we went we were at least the third lot of Aussies, and more arrived during our meal. 10 out of 10. More

Great place especially for fresh fish, including things you won't see on a typical menu. From the menu it is obvious it's not just for tourists - we were steered away from a choice which we were told is an acquired taste. It is family run and they create a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere for dining. We were in... More
