Tonight will be our third night in a row at Al Chile Viola. That should said enough. But I'll go on.... Luz and her husband are wonderful hosts with a great aura that radiates through to the fantastic cuisine they share with the world. Unfortunately they are closing down after tonight for a week, otherwise we probably would have been... More

Luz runs the place and her husband is the best cook in town. Get ready to have some great REAL ITALIAN food. Potato raviolis are to die for... More

Another great restaurant in Santa Teresa. I had the Pesto Gnocchi with shrimp and I was immersed in garlicky goodness. The ceviche was excellent and the mojitos were insanely good. If you want a place with romantic ambiance and a good wine list.....look no further. More

Great fresh Italian food with seafood specials that will keep you coming back. It is a small place so reservations can help secure a good spot. The staff was very friendly. More

First I want to say that Al Chile Viola is no longer at the Tropico Latino, but the chef has opened a restaurant, on his own, a short distance away. (Want to note, though, that the Tropico Latino Hotel is still our number one place to stay while in Mal Pais/Santa Teresa!) Now for Al Chile Viola: Luz and Emiliano,... More

Great ambiance and nice looking menu but it ends there. Staff (kitchen and waiters) need to smoke less weed while they are at work. Took forever and I've never seen so many plates sent back from multiple tables due to it being inedible. Beef carpacio was scary. Pasta was grossly mushy and all of it was swimming in half inch... We enjoyed dinner once during our christmas holidays and while the food was good, the restaurant was very busy which resulted in the service being a bit slow and our tuna steaks to be medium instead of rare. Other than that the experience was very good. More

Our group of 11 dined at Al Chile Viola. The service, food and atmosphere was excellent. The homemade ravioli was the best I have had anywhere! I wish we had time to go back for a second meal at Chile Viola. More
