My boyfriend & I ate at ALMA two nights in a row on our recent trip to Santa Teresa and loved it. The restaurant is up a long driveway away from the dusty road and on a romantic, dimly lit verandah balcony. The food is DELICIOUS, as are the margaritas and mojitos. We had the Peruvian ceviche and the curry... More

While staying at the hotel next door we ventured over to the Alma Restaurant for supper and had an excellent evening. A small restaurant with a great, romantic vibe this place was one of the best parts of our trip. The servers were extremely friendly and made sure we were satisfied with every aspect of our visit. The food was... More

We shared our first three nights as well as our first and last meal at Alma. We feel in love with the staff as well as the food!! My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant+lodging to all who visit Santa Teresa! A must off the menu are the Margaritas...out of this world. We will definitely be back!! More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. It didn't look like much from the road, but it had great atmosphere, good service and excellent food. More

A great little find in Santa Teresa....the sushi was fresh, beautifully presented and filling. The Chilean owners are delightful and easy going with a great philosophy about putting family before work. The restaurant is also super clean, which is a bit hard to come by in this one dirt road village. Two thumbs up!!! More

We ate here on our first night in Santa Teresa and I have to say, it was the BEST fish I've had in a long time! I'm not a fish eater per say, but this fish was fresh, and the flavors were amazing. The sides were traditional Costa Rica - fingerling potatoes and veggies, but the seared tuna was really... More

I stayed in one of the domes with my wife and daughter for nine days this February and was 100% thoroughly impressed with my stay. Little did I know when we booked our stay that we would land at the best restaurant in Santa Teresa as well. Marcella and Rodrigo are devoted to creating a place of beauty and peace,... More

Went to Alma Restaurant with my girlfriend and we loved it. When we arrived, there weren't many people around, which was nice since we wanted a tranquil atmosphere. Once we sat down, we immediately knew we were in for a great treat. First of all, the staff is really friendly, even the chefs inside the kitchen were kind enough to... More

The tuna tar tar was delicious as was the mahi. The lobster was a bit chewy but the staff was very friendly. Cool atmosphere, too. More

Charming outdoor restaurant with an interesting Bali-like steepled wood ceiling. There's also a zen-like tent for larger groups with cushioned seats to lounge on. Lights changed colors to add to the ambiance. Family owned by a younger professional couple who moved from Chile for a better family life in Playa Santa Teresa. One of the few Costa Rican restaurants that... More
