Michel's is tucked away just outside Waikiki -- beautiful location...right on the beach, great place at sunset. The main room has sliding glass windows that open up to an unobstructed view. The overall ambiance is "formal-light" -- white/black linens, candles, waitrons with tuxes, (talented) live background music.... It is billed as a French Restaurant, a place for romantic dinners. Used... More

This was our only night in Honolulu and we were referred to the restaurant by friend's that had honeymooned here and dined here, 30 years ago. We were very pleased with the food, wine selection and service. Our only complaint was the table was not stable. We mentioned it to our server and he offered to move us but the... More

It was my sister's 75th birthday, so we decided to splurge with a dinner at Michel's. The food is always above average with only occasional disappointments. This visit was one of my best in memory, since the menu had all the food we normally crave when we dine near the ocean. The service is always over-the-top for those who prefer... More

We visit Michel's every time we sre in Honolulu and love it. Great open air view, top professional service and great food. I enjoyed a perfectly prepared fresh onaga, others had great ahi and pork dishes. We were there on a Friday night when great slack key artist Jeff Peterson plays there. What a treat! This is a slacks and... More

In a great location, with a great view of the city. We were there after dark but I'm sure the sunset would be beautiful from there. We were excited about this restaurant as we had seen great reviews and it was close to our hotel. Chairs were tacky as was the carpet, which had a musty odor. The tables had... More

The view is stunning, the service impeccable and the food was perfection. We went to hear a local musician so weren't really sure what to expect as far as the restaurant. Everything was well beyond our expectations. More

We had a group of 12 everything was terrible lobster bisque tasted like brandy soup and we couldnt eat it. The waiter didn't care much . The seafood ciopino tasted like canned watered down tomato soup. The lobster terraine was like mayo with lemons the Rissoto had a very salty taste . Everything was salty and Way over priced .... Michels was excellent. The restaurant has a fantastic ocean view along the beach just east of Waikiki. It is located in an older hotel/condo, and so when we walked in we were a little underwhelmed. But the food and service more than made up for the somewhat outdated appearance of the restaurant and building. The buffalo was particularly awesome ...... More

Can't add too much to the glowing reviews but to reiterate that we had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The head waiter was a consummate professional. He accommodated my family's allergies with graciousness and warmth. He gave the kids at a neighboring table jobs to do and kept them engaged the entire meal. When they left, the little boy... More

One of our finest dining experiences ever. Pricey, but worth it. Lobster Bisque was all it was racked up to be. Rack of Lamb and Seafood Medley entrees were great. Friendly, but professional servers. More
