When it's time for lunch at the Ala Moana mall, consider this beautiful retreat. We showed up at 1:45 p.m. on a weekday and had a 15 minute wait. We got an outside front table. We were served a chicken consomme amuse bouche. Ordered the ahi tuna and beef dip sandwiches. Popovers with strawberry butter are compimentary. The ahi tuna... More

It was my first visit to Mariposa and I was impressed! I loved the upscale, open-air atmosphere and all the attention to detail. Since we went for lunch, we received complimentary tiny "teacups" of tasty chicken broth and popovers with guava butter. I ordered the roast beef sandwich, which they cut into quarters for me, and sweet potato fries. The... More

Thi is an elegant and airy space with elegant people, an ocean view, professional and friendly service. From the complimentary intense consomme to the enormous popover to the carefully chosen variety on the menu, this restaurant is very hard to fault. We even had stick-thin models wafting past in the latest Spring couture. Every mouthful of my seafood laksa was... More

We went for lunch while shopping at Neiman Marcus. The location (gorgeous view) and appearance of the restaurant are both nearly perfect. The menu is everything we were hoping for. We were given a complimentary chicken broth in an espresso cup to start, along with a large croissant style roll with whipped strawberry butter. I chose the open seafood ravioli,... More

We come back again and again because the food is delicious and the presentation is nice. The service is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. The popovers and consume are complimentary treats that make lunch feel special. At dinner they serve "monkey bread" which is really dense. I like the popovers at lunch more. The menu even tells you the... More

We've dined here on many occasions and have never been disappointed with the food. Diners may think it'll cost an arm-and-a-leg since it is Neiman Marcus but the prices are inline with other restaurants in the area and the service is always top notch! On this visit i sampled the Salmon on Farro and Brussel Sprouts with a red pepper... More

Great view of the ocean, outside lanai seating an option, service was good. Crab salad and lobster sandwich could have been better but we devoured them anyway. Popovers were the best. We sat for 3 1/2 hours and they did not seem to mind as there were open tables More

I always pause when I read one-star reviews, because too many times I feel like somebody had a bad experience that maybe isn't all the fault of the restaurant, or they had outlandish expectations that no hotel could meet. But my experience with Mariposa on Valentine's Day was extremely disappointing for reasons that were very much under their control. We... More

Never got to go, because I thought having a late (1:45pm) on a Tuesday will not need reservation. And even though the place is only half full, if you did not reserve, you need to wait 1-2 hrs for seating. Very disappointed More
