Everything about this place was perfect for our 5 year anniversary. Be prepared to spend a lot of money though. Our bill for two was just about $400, we did the 5 course tasting with the wine pairing - amazing! They customized the menu with our names on it which was so cute! They also wrote "Happy Anniversary" on our... More

Thankfully we went here on a gift card so we didn't have to pay because we found it to be overpriced and we left hungry. For that amount of money for food they should at least give you something more than two bites. Can never figure out why this place is so highly rated. Fish was fishy....my wifes pork chop... More

When we lived in Honolulu, we didn't know about this restaurant... not sure how we missed it. Now 10 years after departing we came back on vacation and a friend suggested we try it. I cannot say enough about the outstanding food and service. The food was presented well, perfectly prepared and the flavors were well balance. The service was... More

My wife and I dined here as part of our anniversary trip to Hawaii. The food was outstanding and the service was great. Being a bit of a sake snob, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of depth of the list, but that was a minor annoyance at best. A nice touch is that if you tell them... More

Alright peeps, let's face it. Alan Wong's is NOT in Waikiki and facing the Ocean. It's on King Street and I you MUST have a view you should request a window seat when you make reservations. However, you're probably going to this restaurant for the food, which is nothing short of amazing, and to enjoy the company of the people... More

Came off of an 11 hour flight from NY, showered and headed straight to Alan Wong's. We were an hour late for our reservation but we called from the airport and they kindly moved it to 9pm. It was so nice to be at a high end restaurant enjoying wine and clean linens after a long journey. Food was delicious.... More

Actually came here in February 2011. As one of the founding members of "Hawaiian Regional Cuisine" Alan Wong's has never failed to disappoint. When coming here for special occasions, personalized menus are presented. Customer service is great, as is the food. Fresh local ingredients are used. Dishes have a distinct Hawaiian twist to them. The Caesar Salad is one of... More

I have been dining at this gem for over twelve years. We go there everytime we're in Honolulu. This superb restaurant makes my top ten in the country. The service is impeccable. The food creative and delicious. Among the many first plate selections, you must try "Da Bag" .What arrives looking like a big bag of Jiffy Pop waiting to... More

Bill for two was about $200 with tip, but well worth it! Surprising combination of traditional Chinese ingredients to create wonderful tasting dishes, like the whole tomato salad with li hing mui (dried plum) dressing and ginger crusted red snapper. One of the best restaurants I've been to. As with many Hawaiian hangouts, though the food here is high class,... More
