Stopped in for a morning beverage, had a lovely chat with the barista, sat in one of their Adirondack chairs and watched the day unfold. Charming place with a charming hostess.

I am writing my review as I sit, drink my cappuccino, and watch sailboats come in and out of the dock. I can honestly say this is the most relaxing cafe I have EVER been to. Granted, it is a weekday.
First impression - what a gorgeous spot. Second impression, what's that noise? Oh just the Barista, who herself is full of beans, has three kids, worksseven days a week, has baked everything on the counter. (yep, life story in the space of making a coffee... butall good)
She makes splendid robust latte, and you have to love a gal who...

This place is awesome, come for the coffee, come for the stunning view, come for the home made cakes or just come for friendly and welcoming service. Whatever you do just make sure you come here.
Sip good coffee while relaxing in a Maine white painted beach chair on the Wharf in the sunshine. Pure heaven.
I hate reviewing this place because I consider it my gem. It is the best kept secret in Newport and I try and start every day with a trip to the Coffee Grinder. Coffee is great, treats are great, the owner works the counter with her little daughter at her side and maybe one other person from time to time....

The Café latté is very good! During my short stay in Newport, I went there every morning for my coffee & muffins The owner is friendly! Beautiful location on the Marina dock.
Spent our vacation's early mornings here, sipping cappuccino while watching the boats. Best location ever, right on the water. The owner is lovely and you might catch a glimpse of her super cute son running about. My own five-year old loved the smoothies here and would actually sit still watching the birds and boats. Wish I was there right now!
We were surprised to find such an excellent cup of coffee in such a touristy locale! The iced mocha was great, not glorified chocolate milk as with some places. The espresso flavor really came through. A little cheaper than Starbuck$ but much better coffee, and a view that can't be beat!
After having received numerous glowing reviews, I thought I would try out this place. Anything has to be better that Starbucks right? WRONG! Although the staff are super friendly, atmosphere is lovely, view is 5 star....the coffee was super disappointing. Weak, watery or too strong. Was there any milk in my latte/cappuccino...didnt taste like it! Maybe America just can't serve...
