We heard very good things about this restaurant. Our first and only experience was "ok". The food was good (not great) and the staff friendly, but the service was very slow and, all considered, the prices were on the high side. More

Non-chain restaurants are rare in Charles County, and Blue Dog is a welcome addition! We were met with an amuse bouche, the chef came to our table to welcome us, food was well prepared and used fresh, local ingredients. We'll be back soon. More

My husband and I had heard good things about the Blue Dog Saloon and suggested it as a meeting place for dinner with another couple. It is a very popular spot in Southern Maryland and was quite busy when we arrived for our reservation. We were off to a good start; the hostess seated us right away with our friends... More
