I've had some decent food here before but last night was mixed at best. Bread started the meal - stale toast with no butter or anything. Then undercooked parsnips and mashed potatoes with uncooked lumps ruined an otherwise decent roast chicken (with no evidence of the au vin). Finally - bring your sunglasses. Apparently window shades are beyond this place... More

I'll admit, the vegetarian lifestyle wasn't too attractive to me until I adopted in 2012. There was and still is a socially fueled stigma about it, created by an extremely carnivorous society (especially here in "wings and beef-on-weck world"). i'll still eat meat occasionally, as I'd rather eat my mom's ham dinner than hurt her feelings :) But nowadays, when... We were in town for just one night - one vegan and three omnivores. On advice of a vegetarian friend in Buffalo we made the short walk from our hotel to dine at Merge before heading out to see Bruce Springsteen. We were seated promptly (with a reservation) and enjoyed good service throughout our meal. There was something for everyone... More

Merge is probably Buffalo's best vegetarian and health food restaurant. Even the water is delicious! Most food choices can be served with chicken or fish if preferred. You can even enjoy a glass of wine with lunch. I will return here often! More

Outstanding food. We order a "small plate" of "smothered sweet potato fries topped with fresh spinach, spicy lentils and cheddar cheese." It was soooooo good. When shared with a half of a wrap, it's a big meal. I had the "spicy chicken, spinach, roasted red potatoes and blue cheese wrap." Yummy! My husband had the vegetarian burrito and he said... More

Karen at Honu House recommended this place to me before we even got to town, so my wife and I ate lunch here immediately upon arriving in town. She has the sweet potato fries-a meal in itself that was spectacular, and I had a lentil curry-even though my first bite I almost broke a tooth on a lentil-sized rock, which... More

Niche: Merge wants to be everything for everyone. That is its strength and weakness. Cuisine: Raw Vegan, vegetarian, carnivore or barfly, Merge wants your business. Food quality: I have not dined since Kate has become head chef. Quality in the past was inconsistent, but based on experience with Kate in her prior venues, quality must now be first-class. Service: aging... More

good food with lots of variety for vegans and others. seasonal veggies and fish and a huge selection of teas and organic drinks. Menu changes with the seasons, service is friendly and effecient and prices reasonable. my only objection is the lighting is really dim. Lunch is a pick it up at counter deal and if u park on Delaware Ave... More

I recently went there with some friends.... it was one of the best meals I have ever had. They have a large menu, something for everyone. I can't wait to go back. You don't have to be a vegetarian to love this place. The Chef came out to the table and introduced herself to everyone.... classy. This is my new... More

Visited Merge tonight. My wife is mostly vegetarian and we had a wonderful meal. Our favorite dishes were the smothered (in cheese and wonderful lentils) sweet potato fries and the summer succotash. Menu is creative and allows for people with different tastes. e Also like the downtown/Allentown location More
