No longer or mabe never was an Italian neighborhood, but the food was great. Home made. The house sauce was unique.
I can think of other restaurants I would rather go to in the area. Lacks atmosphere and when that is lacking I hope for superior food. Cannot say I find it here; it is okay but nothing to draw me back. Like someone else has said, the management tends to be overbearing even though the serving staff tries to be... More
I would NEVER go back to this restaurant after being treated so poorly by the owner. When my meal arrived, it was prepared differently than the menu stated. It was covered in cheese although menu made no mention of it. I found this unusual since I ordered salmon. I sampled the dish hoping that it would still be OK, but... More
This is my 2nd time visiting this establishment. We both had the rack of lamb. It was fantastic. So few places offer it, with even fewer doing it well. The only regret is that they no longer offer the garlic bread with the sauce on it.
I had the Chicken Francaise. It was tasty but very salty. I would not recommend this dish uless you like alot of salt. My wife had a pasta dish and it was very good.
Fond this restaurarnt on trip advisor on a drive from Hartford to New Hampshire. The food was fantastic, even the small bowl of pasta served before the main course was served hot and al dente. The stafff is warm and friendly and will eat there every time I pass near Springfield, Mass.
Came here On one of my many college visits and we were served enough to feed even me. A little expensive for dinner, but definitely worth it, as it's basically a 4 course meal-bread, salad, pasta, and then entree. Great atmosphere as well
Typical is a great place to eat. Being Italian and cooking alot, it is hard to find an Italian restaurant that serves food like you make at home, only better and with a twist!! Typical is a restaurant that you could bring anybody to and they would be amazed. It is beautiful inside, service is great and is moderately priced... More
We make a trip to the Springfield MA every June. We have a rule about not going to the same restaurant each year. This year we had to break it. From start to finish, the food is consistently excellent. Fresh & cooked to order. I had the linguini with (white) clam sauce. My mouth waters just recalling this food memory.... More
Springfield is fast becoming a foodie city and Typical Sicilian is one of the restaurants that I cite as proof. Until five years ago, in Western New England, one could only get a consistent combination of great atmosphere and even better food in Northampton, Massachusetts. After eating my way through Springfield, I can honestly write that it's no longer true... More
