La Fonda is an institution; a historic hotel with great flair and decor. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is always good. The menu varies from New Mexican fare which is authentically prepared and local cuisine which is creative and very good. Go in the daylight hours to enjoy the myriad of handpainted little windows. We were seated right next to the fountain in this colorful, romantic courtyard. The service was very friendly, but not too much so. The food was spectacular.
