Description: La Plazuela was the hotel’s original 1920s patio and it retains that sunlit Old World charm. Skylights flood the dining room with natural light and handsome carved furnishings, artisanal lighting, and our much-loved hand painted windows create a beautiful, inviting room to gather, to dine and to make memories in. The menu was crafted to showcase old favorites with New World influences and authentic New Mexican cuisine, and our award-winning wine list is exceptional. La Plazuela at La Fonda on the Plaza is Santa Fe’s gathering place. Come dine with us!

We enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant so much that we decided to come back another day for dinner, and it was just as wonderful. One of the perks is good wine at reasonable prices, which can be a challenge to find in Santa Fe restaurants. My one regret was not trying the mango gazpacho, but I was fortunate to... More

We stayed at La Fonda and had 1 breakfast and 1 dinner at La Plazuela. Both were great! Nice atmosphere and delicious food. More

For our first special meal to celebrate our special weekend (i.e., our anniversary), we had to choose...well, "SPECIAL." Right? So we picked La Plazuela at La Fonda, and even made reservations a couple of weeks in advance. Once we decided that we'd like two be in two places at once (namely, a La Plazuela AND at La Fonda's rooftop bar,... More

La Fonda is an institution; a historic hotel with great flair and decor. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is always good. The menu varies from New Mexican fare which is authentically prepared and local cuisine which is creative and very good. Go in the daylight hours to enjoy the myriad of handpainted little windows. As far as my wife and I are concerned, this is the best restaurant in Santa Fe. If, however, you are looking for a small, cozy, intimate setting try somewhere else. We were not looking for such a place, so La Plazuela was absolutely perfect the two nights we ate there during our four night stay in Santa Fe. The... More

After a fun day bumming all around the historic district in Santa Fe, we decided go in the beautiful old La Fonda hotel and look around. What a great historic atmosphere. We noticed how attractive this courtyard restaurant was and we decided to make it the capstone to the day. La Plazuela didn't disappoint. The skylight and plants give it... More

We were seated right next to the fountain in this colorful, romantic courtyard. The service was very friendly, but not too much so. The food was spectacular. The flavor combinations were not your usual fare, and all of them worked. The plates looked as good as they tasted. Altogether a satisfying evening. More

We dropped in while pursuing our hope of finding some authentic turquoise necklaces that my wife would like. We shared a salad and a pork sandwich. Both were plentiful and delicious. In fact, the sandwich came with a side salad that would have sufficed without the second spinach salad. The spinach salad came topped with a sliced hard-boiled egg and... More

Loved the terrific drinks and authentic New Mexican food. The restaurant is romantic and "fun" in its decor and level of comfort. And actually very reasonably priced. One of the best meals we had all week. Look forward to our next visit. More
