We went to La Choza one Saturday night in June and sat outdoors on the patio. It was one of those perfect Santa Fe evenings where you feel the magic of a Santa Fe night. The food was great, the service first rate, and the prices, moderate.I had an enchilada with cheese and pork and she had a vegetarian enchilada... More

First, this place is a little hard to find. It is tucked away on a side street. They advertise themselves as serving "Mew Mexican" cuisine. Didn't see anything new about it, but it was good solid Mexican favorites. My bride had a combination plate with chile relleno, carne adovada pork, pisole, and pinto beans. I had enchilada with carne adovada... More

Back to La Choza after being away a year and it's better than ever. Sitting in the garden is so lovely on these beautiful New Mexico evenings. Had a house margarita which was excellent. The guacamole is delicious as was the chicken burrito. Green chili rules here. Friendly staff and some of the best New Mexican food you can find... More

Wanting Mexican food, and based on reviews, we decided on La Choza while in Santa Fe. The patio was very nice, and the servers were attentive. We ordered Margaritas, and chips with salsa and guacamole.....$8! Where we come from chips are complimentary, but what the heck, and the guac was very good. Wanting a variety of tastes, we both ordered... More

For a good NM style lunch, La Choza has been my top pick every time I visit Santa Fe, NM. Over the past 20 years I have visited on average once a year. Green Chile (from the Hatch peppers) has long been my favorite, but the past two times I have been here I ordered Huevos Rancheros Christmas Style....both Green... More

I wanted real Mexican dishes. I wanted good margaritas and a place with ambiance. La Choza gave me all three. We ate outside in the courtyard which was awesome. I had the steak and it was amazing. Very authentic.

I went for the first time to La Choza for a friend birthday. I had very high expectations since I only heard good things about this restaurant. The restaurant is just outside the downtown area in the borders of the railyard district. Is very picturesque and very big. I ordered a pomegranate margarita and to be honest I didn't like... More

First I was impressed with the monitored parking lot, a real person out there watching the cars. This food was the best I ate in Santa Fe even though I tried other restaurants which were highly recommended. This was the only place in Santa Fe that I could find that served vegetarian posole which was spicy and very tasty. The... More

Live here, have been going to La Choza since Dinosaurs ruled Earth. Consistently excellent food and drink, plenty of food on my plate, great servers that deserve a medal for how busy they can get. Protected parking, people remember you, greeters and the manager are first rate. With the upgrades with color and the newer bar, outside dining, and the... More

I went there because of the good reviews. Boy, was I ever disappointed. When I ordered the enchilada platter, I didn't expect only one small open-faced enchilada accompanied by a meager helping of hominy and rice. I wondered how they could call that a cheese enchilada with such a small amount of cheese, and noting much else besides the tortillas.
