Description: Enjoy Chef Fernando Olea’s contemporary cuisine in the relaxed atmosphere of Epazote Restaurant. Inspired by the Aztecs, Chef Olea creatively transforms the traditional ingredients of Mexico into delectable New World dishes. Nothing evokes the mystery of fine Mexican cuisine more than mole, a regional dish from the heart of country. A thick sauce of complex flavors, mole usually includes toasted and ground spices, seeds, nuts, chocolate and chile. Chef Olea delights in sharing variations of Mexican mole in his nightly specials. Whether dining in the restaurant or hosting a private party with a special menu, your dining experience at Epazote is guaranteed to be a memorable one.

We were quite disappointed with this restaurant. The glowing reviews led us to believe we were going to have a wonderful dining experience, but it was far from wonderful. We arrived on time (a few minutes early) for our reservation, and they made us wait until approximately 15 minutes after our reservation before they sat us at a table. They... More

Epazote is located in an art gallery. The menu has many standards, but each day the chef prepares different moles. The sauces are presented for tasting with teeny tortilla, and there are various protein sources available. The wine list is nice. Definitely some of the best moles that I have ever had, presented in a classy setting. More

Absolutely delightful evening. Charmed service, great wine recommendation, surprisingly affordable and perhaps the best mole I've ever had. If you've only experienced the deep, rich, smokey, traditional moles, you must try their testing platter (included) to experience the full range of subtle and enticing mole flavors. We visit Santa Fe several times a year and will not go back without... More

This is the only place in Santa Fe in which I will never visit again. The atmosphere seemed very high scale and classy but the food and the service I received was a tremendous disappointment. It was bad enough that I found a moth in my salad, but I then got food poisoning from the mole I ordered. I will... More

Great service, assisting knowledgeably in wine pairing. Attention to detail in table layout, food presentation and most importantly the food itself. The brussels sprout appetizer infused with jalapeño, flavorful and not overly spicy. Adventurous food pairings. Overall best we found in Santa Fe. More

A friend recommended we try Epazote...had no idea what a delight it would be. We ate in the gallery and had the pleasure of meeting the chef and the owner of the gallery. The food was some of the best ever in Santa Fe and we live here part time so have tried many places. But it was more than... More

Excellent New Mexican food - we both had speciality moles which were delicious. The margaritas were also fantastic. More

Overrated and moderately overpriced. Although it came close on a couple of dishes, sadly, it does not live up to the hype. More

We visit santa fe often, we own a home in northern santa fe. As always reserve our tables ahead of time there was a little of a wait for our table. It was a Saturday night. We didn't mind walking through the gallery because our home has a lot of similar art pieces that are featured in this gallery that... More
