I've been dining at La Fonda for more than 40 years. Every time I visit San Antonio, I make it a priority to eat there. Their tender beef fajitas taste like seasoned filet mignon. And their shrimp quesadillas are to die for! But my all-time favorite dish is their cheese enchiladas. Be sure to ask for onions! More

I agree with the last review, this supposed Tex-Mex establishment serves large portions of relatively bland food. The waitstaff are colorfully dressed, but the place is dark and dingy. I have to admit, however, the prices are very reasonable. This is definitely not the kind of place to take someone out for a special meal. I will not return. More
