Enjoyed a great dinner here recently. I had the red fish special which was delicious. My husband had a great steak--very tender. Our grandchildren had mac-n-cheese that was not your ordinary out of the box kind---but real homemade comfort food. Our server went out of his way to keep our drinks filled and ensure everything was great.

It's an amazing restaurant. Great staff, atmosphere, and delicious food. Believe it or not the prices are not too high. Makes a great date night. I had the steak brazzo and my wife had the ahi salad. Both dishes were amazing. Finished the meal with carrot cake and coffee. Can't wait to come back.

We took a trip this summer and were introduced to J Alexander's in Tennessee. I was very pleased to find one in San Antonio. After attending an RV show, we checked out the San Antonio location and it was just as excellent as the Chattanooga location. My wife and I keep coming back to J. Alexanders for their consistantly great foods and friendly excellent wait staff. It as if they are trained in upscale better service. Even the management pitches in to make sure it's done right! I don't mean just coming around and asking if "Everything is OK." but working in food service. THe moment... More

Service was adequate: 01/15/2013 @ 8:27PM. We did have a large party and were seated quickly. However, prices were very high. Food was good. $ 3.50 for a lemonade is over the top. I have only been here a couple of times but both times the food was super. A bit pricey for what you get but good to go to on occasion.

We had lunch and all of us enjoyed our choices. The prime rib and ribeye were both perfect and the spinach cheese dip was yummy. We also enjoyed the grilled artichokes. The beets were ok. The carrot cake is truly the best we have ever had ... Go for it!

Just a bit expensive for the amount/quality of food received for a family of four. Not conducive to smaller children.

We had a dinner here with a business partner based on strong recommendations from collegeaues. The restaurant was nothing special given the menu prices.
