We really enjoyed our meal and the service. It was a great value as compared to some other restaurants we went to around the city. The tofee pudding was good but a bit too sweet for our liking. More

I cannot recommend Cappy's highly enough. My husband and I are traveling across the country and my husband found Cappy's on Trip Advisor. It was the best meal I have had in a long time and the consistency of the quality from my salad through dessert was amazing. Normally in a really good restaurant, there is one course that stands... Cappy's was our choice to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We traveled to San Antonio to spend a few days for the occasion and I wanted the day to be special. We ended the day at Cappy's and the experience put an exclamation mark on a wonderful day. This was our first time to dine at the restaurant and the... More

We recently took out-of-town guests to dinner at Cappy's and were shocked at the prices and limited menu. On reflection, we realized we hadn't ever been there for dinner - only lunch! We like the lunch menu and prices much better! Check out the two menus on the website. Also consider the adjoining Cappycino for great food and more reasonable... More

We have been dining at Cappy´s off and on for almost 20 years. When the weather is nice, we particularly like to sit outside on the deck. The food is very good, the atmosphere is low key and comfortable, and the service is consistently very good. More

Don't dismiss this place because it does not have an exotic name. The food here is very good and reasonably priced. I had the pecan crusted catfish which was probably the best I have ever had. The gumbo was very good as well. The waiter was very attentive and you don't have wait long for your food after your order... More

We made reservations via Open Table. We arrive 30 minutes early, not a problem. Our servers name is, James, he was very slow to greet us, drinks took way too long, restaurant was freezing!! Ordering with James was difficult and irritating as everything was an up charge if we changed it etc. Let's just say he was unaccomodating. My hubby... More

Is it possible for a place to be really upscale (put on your best shoes and dark Clinton Kelly Jeans) and still be fun??? It is at Cappy's. GO to the bar even before you ask for a table.... cause the food comes out fast. Have a mango martini and just cruise around the bar .... ya gotta get the... More

I haven't met any locals who don't like Cappy's and its sister cafe, Cappycino's. It's stylish and very approachable, plus the out-of-towners don't know it (oops). Oysters were a bit sandy the night we went, so the server promptly took them off the bill. We all wound up eating the tuna - recommend the rare - after changing our minds... More
