Zinc is owned by the same folks who own Boudro's - a very popular restaurant on the riverwalk and only 1 block away from each other. We were hoping to eat at Boudro's but couldn't get a table. I very kind waiter offered to walk us over to Zinc instead which we did. He introduced us to the bartender and... More

I wound up here looking for a light late night dinner. I had the Zinc salad, which was a riot of flavors that just didn't blend. Grape tomato, green apple, fried onion strings, goat cheese on a bed of greens that was highly over-dressed - my plate was sopping wet with dressing. The crab cakes were greasy, the bell pepper... Outdoor seating area, all menu items and pricing was much more affordable that riverwalk. Owner should address his GM in private and not when patrons are sitting at bar waiting to be seated. How you treat your employees has a direct effect on their impact with customers.

The lamb sliders were GOOD, another got pizza,...& the ZINC burger was about 9bux, aint bad....just for the BURGER...I dont recall the prices for the other two items.... FYI: The Zinc Burger comes on a brioche bun with A+ quality beef (AFTER ALL, it IS TEXAS), also with cheddar, a crispy parmesan tuille, bibb lettuce, tomato and sun-dried tomato aioli... More

Very good food! Calamari & spinach au gratin apps were super tasty. Tomato bisque was awesome. Fish and chips very nice, duck carnitas very tender and yummy. Overall a very nice experience!

Asked about happy hour specials and was told they would not honor them due to high volume of business that night, Also, asked for house wine and was charge $10 per glass, more expensive than most of those published on their menu.

Try the table side guacamole...the best I've ever had. The prices were more than reasonable, the food was fresh and delicious, and it's a young, fun atmosphere.

We really liked the outdoor court yard dining area! VERY nice. The food was fairly priced and quite good. I had the veal and my wife had the fish and chips. We will eat here again next time we come to the River walk area.

Conference in SA. looking for something different for dinner. My lady & I and a work colleague headed to Zinc, based on recommendation from a friend. Glad we did. Very funky, alive, little place. When we first arrived there were no seats other than at bar so we started there with some cocktails and appetizers. As soon as a table... More
