It's walking distance from the Riverwalk, but miles away in terms of ambience, quality, and service. We had an excellent meal: split a salad and pasta dish (great bolegnese). Each had a separate entre: pan seared salmon for her - very good. Pan fried pork chop for me - excellent. The crostini for desert was a great finish. Good bottle... More

In the Jan/Feb issue of Wine Spectator Kim Marcos, managing editor, writes about one of his pet peeves: the pricing of wine in restaurants: "Also ridiculous is the price of wine by the glass." My wife, daughter and I yesterday had lunch at Jason Dady's trattoria in the Fairmont Hotel downtown San Antonio. To say we were overjoyed by the... More

My husband and I dined at Tre Trattoria last Saturday evening. We ordered a bottle of wine and it arrived with about an inch of dust on it. My husband ordered the parmesan chicken. We expected a nice piece of chicken but it was three pieces of dark meat - no breast - deep fried with cheese sprinkled on top.... More

We happened upon Tre Trattoria on a very crowded weekend inSan Antonio. We went to the location on South Alamo just past La Villita. The restaurant is open and airy. service was friendly. And now the food! Don't miss the pulled to order mozzarella. It is a great appetizer for the table. I don't think I have ever enjoyed cheese... More

Location in historic Fairmont Hotel is lovely. Great ambience, creative menu. Pasta was freshly-made and delicious. Those who had the risotto special raved, as did the one person who had salmon. When you're looking for a little more upscale place to dine in San Antonio, you can't go wrong here.

Our dinner was delicious, and the service was perfect. The prices were very reasonable. Four adults and one child ate for $150 inlcuding gratuity, non alcoholic drinks and an appetizer. The appetizer we ordered (x2) is called- Pulled-To-Order Mozzarella with Sea Salt and Toast. Oh my goodness it is amazing!

Had a very nice dinner with another couple in early January and all of the food and service were excellent. My wife and I returned several evenings later and found the food to again excellent with even more enjoyable service. On the second visit we ordered many of the smaller dishes we hadn't tried on the previous trip. My wife... More

I ate here with some friends while attending a medical conference. All of our group tried different dishes and we shared the large meat and vegetable appetizers. We are all serious foodies. First, the restaurant is trying to be different than the usual Italian pasta places. Some of the dishes were excellent. Like the mixed vegetable appetizer. Some were horrible.... More

Tre Trattoria is a diamond in the rough in the somewhat sleepy plaza between the Witte Museum and the Broadway/Hildebrand intersection. The interior decor is perfect for me -- nice and comfortable, but not overtly formal. Since we live in the neighborhood, my husband and I eat at Tre usually once every 1-2 months. The servers are nice and attentive... More

They have authentic Italian cuisine and not just standard pasta with meatballs. The bread is to die for. I can't say anything bad about it.
