I always get a big "Hello, Deb!" and a smile when I visit. Oh, and then there are the great coffee drinks and food selections, whether for breakfast, lunch or in between.

Mary is an enjoyable person to talk with. The food was/is very good and more than enough to fill you up. The soup is excellent! We have been traveling thru N.M. thinking to move from Florida. Beautiful state. We have in Alpine alley 4 times when we are in N.M. and it is great every time

We had spent the night across the street in the Schaffer Hotel (not so great) and had got up early in order to leave the place without giving it too much thought. On the way out, we passed this gem of a café. We instantly warmed up by the friendly atmosphere, the nice locals at the bar, the great coffee,...

I come to Mountainair to come here about once every one or two months from around ABQ, that is how much I love it. They treat us like familiar friends and always have a good meal that is healthy and fresh. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. We always enjoy ourselves and then go fishing with full happy bellies. Also...

Drove from Belen to Mountainair to check out the scenery and have lunch. Found the Alpine Alley and highly recommend it when stopping here. Cozy cafe with fresh food off the Main St. Special was a brisket sandwich which my friends had and was great! I had a vegologist, veggie sandwich which was fresh and filling. Best was the Pat...

Tried out this place when driving through Mountainair on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. The place serves breakfast and deli sandwiches and wraps for lunch. I got a “customerization” that they listed and thought it was really good. The atmosphere was great…a sort of “diner meets your family room” kind of place. I would definitely hang out at this kind of...

I'm glad I had a chance to check this place out. I went in for a cup of coffee and ended up staying over an hour. I wasn't uncomfortable being in there by myself. There is a counter to sit at if you want to talk, a sofa inundated by magazines and books if you'd just like to sit around...

Wow...what a friendly place with great food. When I walked in alone I was invited to sit at the counter with the regulars. Some of the menu items are named after locals who frequent the diner. I noticed somebody eating exactly what I wanted: a 2-egg omelet with chilis & cheese, toast, potatoes and 2 huge sausage patties. It wasn't...

We ate there on Tuesday, July 20th. Like sitting in someones home and enjoying all the other guests, the decor, and the good food. If you go, try the Sophia Loren; warm sliced roast beef, chopped tomatoes, leaf lettuce and green chili wrapped in a flour tortilla. Um! If you want iced tea, you make your own. You get a...
