Was introduced to this site by family member while visiting in Tucson. Great food & friendliness. A real surprise since its in a neighborhood "strip mall". Will certainly return. More

We've been going to the Crying Onion for years and LOVE IT! We've never had a bad meal, staff is friendly. When there is a wait, it's always worth it. We take guests and they've loved it too. Everything is cooked to order and sometimes I've made some unusual requests. More

Love the breakfast specials, but the pancake is awesome. One pancake fills the plate. Yum! More

My husband & I have been eating here for years so time to leave a review. The Crying Onion has the best "home cookin' food !!! Try their "Pancake", a Crying Onion speciality. It's HUGE, one pancake fills up a turkey platter. The edge of the pancake is crisp and golden brown, the inside is soft & flavorful. The special... More

Sometimes it is too full of patrons, but the food is worth any wait and they make a great cup of coffee! I can never choose anything other than eggs benedict which are to die for, but have tried most other items by tasting bites from my mates and everthing is served hot and fresh. More

My husband and I stopped in this Father's Day morning on a whim, as we wanted to try something different from the usual breakfast eateries. I now have 2 favorite breakfast spots in the Tucson area. Clair's Cafe in Catalina is awesome, but quite a drive for us. I had the classic Egg's Benedict, which included a thin, home-made English... More

My wife and I went in last week. As the sign requested, we waited to be seated and watched two vacant tables, sit vacant. Two waitresses wandered by separately, greeted us and said someone would seat us shortly. A minute or so later the middle aged woman who appears from previous visits to be the proprietor hollered at us from... More

I read the review for the "Crying Onion "in the Travel Advisory (this site) and thought I would stop by on my way out of town after a month-long stay for some breakfast. Well, the resturant is in a non-descrip strip mall shopping center and had a fair amount of people in it for a weekday late morning. I waited... More
