We went here for dinner after a show and after we paid our bill we were asked to leave becuase they had a reservaton for our table even though there were open tables. we told the hostess we were staying for the jazz and she left. a few minutes later, the owner came to our table and asked if the... The restaurant is located in the historic part of Tucson and the atmosphere is nice with dim lighting, antique furniture and a bohemian flair. Their menu is small but very well balanced and their food is quite good. However, what really makes the experience worth the trip downtown is the jazz. What a band!

We had tickets for a musical and were looking for a place for a drink and some light dinner. A coworker of my wife suggested Cushing Street Bar & Restaurant. The outside of the building is rather plain and does not give you a clue about what us inside. Simply put - our visit to Cushing Street was a wonderful... More

Its been a couple of years since we visited Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant. We were scheduled to attend a play at the Arizona Theatre Company and this was an easy walk back to the theater. It is also across from the Symphany and other entertainment venues in Tucson. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mediterranean appetizer (I). My friends enjoyed the... More

Excellent choice for Sunday brunch. The staff is cordial and friendly and the food absolutely delicious; there was something for everyone. We felt welcome, attended to and not rushed. Their fresh carrot juice was exceptional as well as their delicious mojito and mimosas. The coffee was the perfect compliment to the tray of fresh baked goods and the relaxing atmosphere... More

My husband and I tried their new Sunday brunch and I fell in love with all the fresh baked goods that were baked right there on site. No one rushed us, as can be the scene at some local places on a Sunday. Got a good laugh out of the bloody mary menu named after the 3 little pigs....Blow Your... More

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat that was near the convention center in downtown Tucson. After a quick search on the computer, we settled on the Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant. This delightful find turns out to have it all: friendly staff, old world style, great wine, interesting patrons and delicious cuisine. We were lucky... More

Loved my experience at Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant. So much so that I went back a few times while on business this trip for the Tucson Gem Show. First love....the atmosphere and the service. Favorite dish....oh it starts with the Shrimp Quesadilla. Had it three times, it is quite simply very addictive. The Carrot Cake is over the top... More

The interior of this old colonial appearing building will take you back to early Tucson and is just a treat. Likewise the food and drink...professional and friendly service as well. We met friends for dinner before attending an event at the concert hall just across the street. The wine selection is good and the appetizers were just the right size... More

If you are looking for something unique, historic, a good value, and great jazz as well, look no further. Happy hour is terrific, food inspired, service excellent. This little gem of a restaurant is located across from the Convention Center and offers free parking....always a plus. The patio is lovely and terrific year round. Did I mention the service? This...
