We just moved here from Europe so unfortunately The Candy Lady has fierce--and probably the best--chocolatiers to go up against in my situation. BUT I will say the red and green chile fudge, which of course cannot be compared to anywhere in the world is awesome! I think it's worth stopping by if you're exploring Old Town. More

Candy Lady seems very popular with the locals. The store is very compact in size & if there are a lot of people before you, you will not have the opportunity to take it all in, you are "herded" in & out. It can be overwhelming. The staff can seem pushy because they are trying to handle the masses. The... More

Quaint shop with a large variety of treats. Great chocolate, they make cakes, and it is a wonderful place. More

Right on the corner of Old Town and Rio Grande Boulevard....near the statue of Don Francisco Cuervo y Valdez, (The Founder of Old Town), you will find the "sweetest" place in all of Albuquerque.....maybe in the whole state of New Mexico. Sample the fudge.....you will love it. Candy made on-site. Try the chocolates! Visit your childhood memories and find your... More

You can smell the candy as you are walking by and it lures you in, and we were so glad we did. Adorable shop with a wonderful owner and the best candy! Actually divine! She will ship for you also. It is a bit pricey, but worth every bite :) More

While this cute, small shop in Old Town offers plenty of other types of candy and sweets, the handmade chocolate truffles are the star standouts. I tried the milk-chocolate covered cherry, dark chocolate tequila truffles, and the best: the chocolate chile truffle. It was the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. You can purchase anything from a small snack to... More
