I like to go to this restaurant, as much for the entertainment, as for the good food. You never know who you will be seated next to. That's fun too.
We hadn't eaten here in years and my wife was having a Sushi fix, so we drove down and ate lunch here. It was excellent all the way around. Quality sushi and good service......the sushi luncheon special at $10 is an unbeatable deal, and it was plenty enough and very fresh and delicious. I had a noodle dish that came... More
If you are a Japanese foodie and are in the Albuquerque, NM area, this is your #1 destination spot. The food and presentation is authentic Japanese with superb artistic touches. Firstly, you need to know that there are two restaurants with teh same name next to each other in this office plaza near the Marriott and Hilton. One is the steak place and the other is the sushi. This is one of the best sushi places in Albuquerque and it is owned and operated by Japanese people - a big plus! The fish is fresh, the presentation is very pretty and the servers are very nice and helpful. Love the eel rolls and shrimp tempura rolls here. You can't go wrong with Japanese Kitchen
We decided to eat here because we wanted sushi & it was in walking distance of our hotel. We should have done some research. We ordered 6 different rolls. Only one was above average. Kids all ordered fried rice & even it was below average. We would not eat here again.
I have been here a number of times, mainly because it it right next to my work. I have finally decided that even that close convenience doesn't justify going here. While the sushi chefs have always nice, the grumpy (and rude) female wait staff is just too much and the sushi itself is just below average.
So far, this is the best sushi place I've found in the area. It's pricey for dinner (as would be expected being so far inland) especially when ordering the Special Rolls. However, lunch is reasonable and the lunch Weekly Specials are really where you can get a great deal. I also enjoy the Specials because I can try different things... More
